I have never been there as a guest, but have been involved there as a wedding service provider a few times. I have to say, everything has always been great! Delicious food and good staff. It's good to celebrate here, e.g. a wedding.

Its a really nice place to go with the family, or maybe a spouse, the roos where clean and the food was pretty good. Im definetly coming again!

Annual Christmas market. Beautifully set up and well organised. Big variety of crafts snd traditional items. Loved.

A wonderful Christmas market with very lovingly decorated stalls. There is a wonderful play of water and very interesting stalls. Everything decorated with love. There was a lot to see and marvel at for young and old. One of the most beautiful Christmas markets I've visited so far.

Very nice and great property, recommended for all ages. Restaurant "Pferdestall" very comfortable and excellent food, also at the breakfast buffet there was nothing missing! Holiday Fasanerie a little out of the way, in the middle of a sunflower field and very nicely decorated! We felt very comfortable!

A very charming place, in an old good style. Near Hamburg, if someone wants to break away from the city noise and buzz, he will be rested there for sure. Kitchen very tasty, very nice nice service. Tidy rooms, spacious bathrooms and nice decorated. With a nice desire I will come back to the German village. I recommend this place, asparagus prepare delicious. ???

Old, well-preserved manor house with numerous outbuildings, there is a hotel and a restaurant here. Many markets are offered here (spring market, exhibitions, music events). Parking spaces in the paddock in front of the Gutseingang. For wheelchair users only partially suitable, as much cobblestone.

We had a conference with 60 participants over 2 days on Gut Basthorst and it was really great. The conference rooms are very flexible with the rustic beams and there are several of them available. The food inclusive grill buffet in the evening was great. The rooms spread throughout the grounds and also very nice. The estate with its location on the lake and the landscape around it were idyllic. We will gladly come back to the seminar here.

Without the hustle and bustle of the Christmas market, Gut Basthorst is worth a visit. The food, roast pork with vegetables (bushes) and potatoes was delicious. You should definitely visit the church of the manor.

I enjoyed every minute!

A very good alternative in a rural idyll in Hamburg's bacon belt. I had the apartment with lake view booked, it is sufficient for a family with 3 children. Parking is free everywhere, and Wi-Fi is also available for free. Breakfast for small money is available in the stable. The location is very quiet.

I was there for the Christmas market, nice atmosphere, lots of local produce. Highly recommended for children, there are many entertainment options for the little ones. In rainy weather a bit uncomfortable, parachute parade from the parking lot to mulled wine, then it's ?. Adults pay 6 euros entrance fee.

Nice, but not what I expected.

The most beautiful Christmas market I have ever visited..beim on the good, it smelled of kahmin, waffles and sausages .... In the barns beautiful arts and crafts was issued. The atmosphere in this market brings a really in Christmas mood .. ,

Basthorst was very beautiful. The vendors were very nice and there were many goodies to try. Also the whole presentation and the water show were great to look at. We will be back next year.

‘An old treasure worth a stay’ ➖ One older member of the staff on the Sunday, when we enquired about extending our stay, gave the air that she was very important and we were not. Her attitude nearly blew an extra nights accommodation for them and she could certainly learn some manners from the younger members of staff there. Also, our room was cleaned between nights but we were not asked about this and it made us feel that our privacy was invaded. Not to say that the cleaning staff were not polite and trustworthy, which they were but this should be cleared with the guests first. These were the only two blips on a delightful stay otherwise. ➕ The room was part of the annex and well appointed. It had a comfy bed and good bathroom. Though the accommodation was very busy with a wedding on the Saturday and a concert on the Sunday, we were bothered by neither. The young lady on check in was very polite as were all staff but one. The local area and town are worth walking around.

The Christmas market on Gut Basthorst is uniquely beautiful. Very spacious and well decorated. Many stalls and culinary restaurants. In the evening, raid burning fire baskets to warm up.

Excellent accommodation !!! Not far from the Berlin - Hamburg motorway, a quiet and peaceful place on the outskirts of the village. Accommodation in the adjacent brick house from outside old fashioned but inside are spaces and equipment new and luxurious, everything clean and beautiful. Breakfast delicious, wide selection in the form of Swedish table. The restaurant is a paradise for horse lovers, sits in the pits for horses, looks very nice.
